No preparation costs and short delivery times are key features of this production method. Digital printing makes use of the RGB (red-green-blue) system, so no PMS (Pantone Matching System) colours are used.

IssueTissue® introduces samples with different finishing options (satin, high-gloss and UV) for its tissue boxes, in which the environmental aspect plays a leading role.
The samples, which give a clear picture of the different ways tissue boxes can be finished, are available with satin, high-gloss and UV varnish. Different colour photos are used on the samples to show the effects of the varnish choice on as many different colours as possible. The technical specifications of the cardboard and the effects of the type of varnish on the environment are printed in four languages.
Ronald van den Bosch, director of IssueTissue®, says: “This gives our distribution partners the opportunity to make a proper comparison between the different protective varnishes for tissue boxes. We expect that satin or high-gloss finishes will be chosen more often as a result, because with these finishes we use varnish based on a mixture of polymers and water. Cardboard treated with this varnish can be reused without releasing any harmful substances in the process, so it is also a good choice from environmental and economic points of view. In principle, cardboard treated with UV varnish cannot be deinked, and therefore cannot be reused.
The samples, together with the previously introduced Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified tissues, enhance our ‘Green’ products, which underline our clients’ social and environmental responsibility.”
